Gill Vaughan is an experienced, trained garden designer based in Newbury, Berkshire. She established her practice in 2002 and has since worked on hundreds of commissions, both private and commercial.

Projects have varied in size from small courtyards to over several acres. Most are in rural or semi-rural settings across Berkshire and surrounding counties. They include family gardens, gardens for keen gardeners and low maintenance gardens.

Landscaping plans to meet local authority planning conditions can also be provided.

Gill was awarded an RHS Silver gilt medal for a show garden in June 2002. She keeps up to date with her profession via the Society of Garden Designers. Her work has been featured in The Garden Design Journal and she has appeared several times on BBC Radio Berkshire.

Educated to degree level, Gill approaches all garden design commissions with professionalism and enthusiasm. She provides a friendly, reliable service, explaining everything clearly throughout, and aims to exceed her clients expectations.

Coronovirus update - 4th May 2020

My garden design services are now being carried out in line with Government and Public Health England guidelines as follows :-

Initial consultations - I can either do this in your garden with you, whilst distancing, or do a video call as you walk round your garden with a mobile device. If you prefer video call I would then visit the garden whilst you are distancing in the house. In each case I would then email you a written summary of the main points and examples of plans, sketches etc to show how I work.

Surveys - on site, following the distancing guidelines

Layout and planting plans - produced in my office as normal

Meetings to discuss outline and detail plans - by video call as we

both look at the plans

Plant sourcing, supply and planting - as normal, distancing on site
