Sloping country garden

A large rear terrace is shaped to reflect the geometry of the house, with curves at the edges to give a softer connection to the landscape. Banks of tall herbaceous planting enclose the area. The secluded 'thyme' terrace at the side, is approached by a lavender-lined path. Upright sleeper retaining walls have been used to increase the visual space.
